About 50 reasons listed why you should shift your energies to installing moral, third party candidates at every LOCAL political post and remove the Duopoly…………..

    • ghendric

While that sounds good and all, you have to look at the real problem here. Lobbyists control Congress, not the people. Anyone that gets elected gets corrupted by these people because the lure of free money is just too great. Even all those tea party people that got elected are being bought. Throwing a bunch of libertarians in there will do nothing but corrupt them and make them rich too. They would all have to be moral as Jesus to actually do the job they were elected to do. I see no one like that.. If you want to see who gets money from lobbyists, check out It’s just one big orgy there in DC…

      • Matt Roach

Actually, maybe YOU have to look at the real problem here: government still exists.

        Leave the cult.

      • Robert Ireland

I can assure you I would! I disdain big money and what they do.I would kick any lobbiests ass right out on the street. At the end of my service I would NOT officially run. I would make the voters actually WANT me for my record and get me on a ballot. otherwise I would just go back home and farm. The money, power and fame are of absolutely no interest to me.

      • GetItRight4aChange

Justin Amash has stayed true to his values. That’s why Boehner dumped him from the House Budget Committee.

        • ghendric

Well then, he’s an oddity in DC…

      • RevNowWhileWeCan

There is/was a small group of politicos who weren’t/aren’t corrupted by the corporations. Kucinich, Ron Paul and Amash come to mind but the problem is that no matter how well intentioned they are, they can do nothing because they are controlled by their parties brass. Thus my statement…………

        • Ryan DeBock

This is true in part, however, there are alterior methods. For instance, if you want to pass a bill and are truly honest and for the people (like a ron paul) but you know it will never get through congress you could simply present the idea to the people and get so many people on board that congress would look like fools to reject it.

        • Galloping Libertarian

But Kucinich rolled over after an Air Force One plane ride and was the deciding vote that screwed “Merica with Obamacare…

      • Tim Cavanaugh

jack abramoff said ron paul could not be bought

      • Frank Morris

They never got to Ron Paul.

    • Russ

Interesting how Ted Cruz (R-Texas) does not show up on maplight. But not surprising. He has shown nothing but integrity since he has shown up in Washington. You want an example of uncorruptible? look at Cruz. @Matt Roach – Government NEEDS to exist for sanity (not in it’s present form). Without government and laws, we would have anarchy, which is nothing ANYONE should aspire to. Nor should anyone aspire to government in its current form. In 2012, I did a review of the proposed budget. Over 10 years, I found OVER 10 TRILLION dollars in savings. And that was not a totally complete analysis. Why the government cannot do the same? I have no idea. But we need to get our house in order.

      • Ryan DeBock

I like Cruz but I don’t think he is the best option right now for president. I think Rand Paul’s charisma and influence in the Senate makes him a better candidate. I could definitely picture Ted Cruz as VP. Then in 8 years they next president, for 8 years. That would be nice. I also find it interesting what you are saying about the budget. Ron Paul created a 3 year plan to erase the deficit completely and had the entire thing written out on paper ready to present to anyone willing to talk about it. I actually read it and it was brilliant, but because he wasn’t the best at saying what he wanted to when he needed too it just kind of got pushed under the table and the media had written him off to the public as a loon. That’s the difference with Rand. Rand Is GREAT at speaking and winning crowds. I actually don’t think I’ve ever seen another like him. Cruz like Ron Paul lets his passion get in the way of his words and while he is a very smart and capable candidate, the media would have a hayday with him just like they did with Ron Paul. I think Cruz would be better served to sit in as VP and then run for president with the endorsement of rand. (assuming Rand wins.) Plus it would be a win for the people. 16 years hopefully with brilliant economists like Cruz and Rand, plus with their policy’s on free trade and intervention the U.S.A. would become the land of dreams once again.

      • Galloping Libertarian

Ted Cruz has ZERO integrity. He is not eligible and he should make a public statement to that fact to keep him off all presidential polls.

    • Dink Shwinker

Barriers against 3rd party candidates were originally erected to keep Communist and Socialist Worker parties off the ballot. They are still there and just as effective.
Libertarians fought them for 30 years. The Reform Party was crushed by them in a couple of election cycles.

This is Ron Paul’s famous Predictions speech from April 24, 2002. “100 predictions in 100 seconds” This is the original video compiling recent images and video to give his

“10 fat men in a room at the RNC make all the decisions for you” – Ron Paul’s Campaign Advisor. You’re vote doesn’t count.

  • CallMeAnn

As a delegate to the Texas state convention, I have to disagree. We would have had to explain to most of the people in Fort Worth who Dr. Paul even was. Yes, we had a lot of people but not a majority. Now, I guess if you want to claim that it would have been a brokered convention and our guys would have had the opportunity to win enough people over to our side and vote for him, then maybe. We had a lot of passion. But, even if Dr. Paul had been on the Republican ticket in November, the PTB would have lied, cheated, stolen ballots, rigged Diebold machine, set whole cities on fire, anything they had to do, they would have done it to beat him out for POTUS.

The film promises an intimate look at Romney as a man more than a candidate. However, nothing sheds more light on his ideals than his Magic Mormon Underwear and all their inherent powers! See Mitt unveil his holy skimpies at

    • james cromwell

Remember about Mitt and what he told us.Romney told us about this
move to build Jeeps in China during the campaign and was called a liar.
      Romney is owed an apology!
Fiat and Chrysler reached an agreement with Guangzhou Automobile
Group to expand production and sales of Jeep cars in China. After the
deal, Fiat/Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said that Jeep output in China
may double in the near future.

The two sister automakers expect to build at least 100,000 Jeeps in the coming years as they enter the partnership.

“We expect production of around 100,000 Jeeps per year which is
expandable to 200,000,” Marchionne said, reports Automotive News.
Guangzhou Automobile Group is set to begin production on one Jeep model
      in 2014.

      • Dave_Mowers

Bain Capital was given the opportunity to buy GM before the bankruptcy and declined but then demanded their investment in Chrysler be covered by taxpayers in a bail out.

      • chazjeffries

The Chrysler/Fiat plan to build Jeeps in China was ONLY to manufacture Jeeps and other Chrysler/Fiat vehicles on mainland China SOLELY for the Chinese market, it’s not “all Jeeps will be made in China” as you have been led to believe. This just a matter of economics,a car manufacturer capturing a huge emerging market by placing a manufacturing plant in China to save money on exporting to that country. USA market Jeeps will always be made in the USA.

        • james cromwell

          I’ll gouge your eyes out

    • Dave_Mowers

The funny part is, the documentary claims to cover the six years leading up to the vote so Romney was planning waaaay ahead and claims by the “news” media about who the nominee would be during the campaign were totally false as a Swiss banker has given evidence to Larry Flynt that Romney made a deal with the G.O.P. before the campaign season to fully finance all PACS in exchange for the nomination.

just shows it doesnt matter who you vote for, those already in power determine the outcome.

  • noin007

I’m inclined to believe that his CHANCE to win was stolen, not the victory itself. Even before the voting fraud, just the total buyout of the media which kept Ron Paul from even being discussed.

In a completely fair and honest election I do believe Ron Paul would have won, but from day one we never had anything close to that. So really, it’s impossible to know for sure.

    • Flo Thompson

I totally agree, especially about the media being bought. Somehow…we must keep the media from choosing our next president. How, I don’t know but we have to do it. One way would be to hold “real” debates. What they call a debate is nothing but the media controlling the questions and deciding who will answer. A real debate is a question asked and then all candidates get to “debate” it. It’s a back and forth give and take. That would go a long way toward everyone getting to take part and not be frozen out by the media being a moderator.

  • Deborah Holland

As a disenfranchised delegate to the Alaskan Republican Convention and a claimant in a lawsuit against the RNC, I have known since the caucus that the Romney Republicans stole the nomination.

    • Flo Thompson

I knew the nomination was stolen from Ron Paul just by watching the GOP convention. The fix was in and any idiot watching could hear who won the vote and then see “Boner ” read the opposite vote as having won right off his teleprompter. It was the most crooked
      disgusting thing I’ve ever seen.

The election laws are written to keep third parties out. We must become PCP’s and run the GOP

    • james cromwell

      Yes they are..

    • Bryan

I’m a PCP in the very district you ran for, Delia. When we had the convention, the rOBAMAney camp couldn’t even pronounce your name yet they accused me of hijacking the party.

Lets see, been in the party long enough to know how to pronounce the name of someone who has ran numerous times vs someone who has been no part of the party and couldn’t pronounce your name – it’s obvious who was doing the hijacking and it wasn’t me.

      • Delia Lopez ForCongress

We need to sign on more PCP’s and keep on keeping on until we control the party. I see no other way to win this. Though I am seriously considering joining the generals in DC May 16th. I could never be part of a party that fought to keep black people and women from being allowed to vote!

        • Bryan

Where there is common ground, I have no problem showing my support, we won the battle against poisoning the water in Portland that way.

          • Delia Lopez ForCongress

Divide and conquer has always worked well. I see no difference between the majority in congress all corrupt and violating their oath of office to uphold the Constitution. We created this government to secure our rights. From the NSA spying, Obamacare health take over, FDA, BATF, IRS, war on drugs the federal government is out of control and must be stopped. Republicrats or Demicans? Pelosi or McCain both the same more gov less freedom.

          • Delia Lopez ForCongress

Thank you for your support and good job on the poison. I got serious flack for writing against vaccinations. I pointed out the Chinese made vaccinations have been found to contain crap not supposed to be in vaccines I didn’t even state that I think vaccines are worthless and should be illegal let alone mandated, which is true. Dr Chas Higgins wrote on vaccines in 1920 and called them barbaric similar to blood letting something that as science progressed would prove how detrimental they are.

We CREATED this government TO SECURE OUR RIGHTS! I am so twisted I think that means the Fed Gov is supposed to help enforce my right to bear arms. If a state or any other entity should decide to try to illegally infringe on my unalienable RIGHT!

The only way I see to restore our Republic is take back the GOP to the small gov pro freedom party. With the Romney changes done at the convention and the vote fraud we uncovered I wonder if it is possible?

    • marecek21

Yes, I’m sure the GOP does want to keep third party candidates out of its nominating process. No surprise there.

      • Delia Lopez ForCongress

Both parties want to control who “their” candidate is. Reagan was the last candidate the grass roots got in through the same efforts we attempted with Dr Paul. It can not happen again. At the convention the Romney Lawyers pushed through a change so now all candidates are selected by the brass. The power of the grass roots was eliminated. The vote was totally not what they said and the (fake) results of the vote were SCRIPTED! The entire floor erupted in chaos I could have voted for Romney had he not proven what a crook he actually was by all these means. I would NEVER vote for him, I would stay home first and I have not missed an election since I turned 18 and that was a long time ago. I was a Republican when we got Reagan in.

Sadly our Republic is gone. Our government is totally corrupt and both party hacks belong in jail. If we did the stuff they are doing we would be in jail for a long time. I ordered a recount in OR and uncovered massive vote fraud and corruption. We (James Buchal was pro bono lawyer for us poor candidates) judge ruled gov does not have to follow law they write them.

Obama/Holder are responsible for more dead Mexicans with the fast and furious guns than Americans died 9/11/2001. I was in Mexico for a recent shoot out when DEA agent El Chappo Guzman head of the Sinaloa Cartel was arrested and TV news kept pointing out that Obama and Holder are blocking the Mexican governments attempt to investigate. More than 60 reporters have been murdered in Mexico reporting on Obama’s connections with the Sinaloa Cartel. Funny it is never on the news in the Fascist USSA. The Cartel (FED) owns the media and the gov.

I am a bitcoin advocate. That said, I think its going to change the coming elections in the short term until there is some way to regulate donations coming in. Bitcoin transactions are anonymous and instant. That means elections could be funded by foreign entities. The Romney/Obama fraud campaign in the last election was nothing compared to whats to come. It also means We the People can crowd fund the campaigns we want bypassing central banks and governments that limit what we can do. Thanks to bitcoin theres a whole new huge drove of millionaires and billionaires that are libertarian minded and want to end unjust wars & fix our nations problems.

this was something you didn’t hear a lot about on the regular news chanles. Bur of coarse not . Paul i think actually had the votes BUT the media will not cover a third party candidate regardless of who they are.

    • Flo Thompson

Ron Paul was NOT a 3rd party candidate….get that through you head. He was a Republican but the media still cut him out of the debates.

    • Sovereign Mary

Hope – Ron Paul was not a “3rd Party Candidate.” He was running as a Republican … and he served as a Republican congressman.

  • Hope Henley

It is a NO-BRAINER that BOTH elections were stolen from Ron Paul for anyone who is even just half awake.

  • Bodinky100

Why are many of you scratching your heads and trying to figure out who and what and why? Just look at who Ron Paul was a threat to. Federal reserve, IRS, DHS, TSA, FEMA, war on terror, war in drugs, etc.. All these federal entities were under direct threat in Ron Paul’s possible nomination. There are so many hands in these pies and most of them are Jewish. Mainstream media which is all Jewish owned and the all powerful AIPAC which bribes and black mails and destroys any politician who is a threat to their chosen man made sure Ron a Paul was completely and utterly ignored. And then in the end they just stoled the votes like in Iowa and then before the Republican caucus they feared his delegates and simply threatened his wife or man some slick deal for a future position with Rand. The small majority like me know the absolute magnitude of the evil that has taken over the US legitimate government and setup a dark shadow, Luciferian group of elites at the top who have no loyalty or love of America. They pull these strings from the top and the blind masses never see it or ever figure it out, too busy being entertained around the clock and eating GMO’s and drinking fluoride and sucking up their flu shots. They couldn’t care less and that’s the way both the master and slave like it, tragic!

    • Ryan DeBock

I agree, it’s disgusting. However, they’re are methods of dissolving those threats. For instance if you make public with evidence any threat made to you than whoever made that threat couldn’t exactly carry it out and get away with it. It is a fine line to walk, a very dangerous one that needs to be walked carefully. But it can be done, and it will have to be done by someone in order for change to take place.

  • Zack

You people that didn’t vote for Romney because he’s a RINO are at blame for Obama’s reelection. Romney was the biggest RINO I’ve seen, but he would’ve been better than the socialist we have now.

    • Will Vincent

No, he’d have been a different flavor of socialist. Not better.

  • Russ

You are an idiot. And a typical Paulite. Santorum had a HELL of a lot more delegates than Paul. So did Gingrich. How did Romney “steal” the election from Paul if both those other guys had more delegates than Paul. Grow up junior. Your peacenik, isolationist views are in the minority and always will be. Paul never had a chance, because he hates our military and foreign affairs. The one thing the federal government is supposed to do is provide for the common defense. How can you reconcile that with a Paul stand (either Ron or Rand)? Go free up your drug laws and stay high so you will forget when the next election is.

    • ghendric

Some delegates are forced to vote based on the popular vote in their state. It doesn’t matter if they wanted Ron Paul or not. It was the law. They all know that and that’s how the political candidates get their votes. Especially if they offer free stuff to the group where the delegates have to vote based on the popular vote. Technically, thats not stealing the election but morally it may be.. everybody like free stuff.. especially money. The only way to stop free money is to take away the ability to create it out of thin air like the Fed does…

      • Ryan DeBock

I was at the Republican National Convention and yes there are a few states that require you to vote based off of the states Caucus winner but most do not. I was a delegate from Minnesota. Ron Paul had Mitt Romney outnumbered 5-1 with delegates but they didn’t let us vote. The republican nomination ultimately comes down to the votes by the delegates at the national convention. None of the other stuff really matters unless you are from a state like Missouri that requires you to vote for the caucus winner. Right before everyone was supposed to vote they announced Mitt Romney the winner. THAT is how he stole the nomination. Everyone knew what Ron Paul was doing except Romney. I knew right away the strategy because I had been campaigning to be a delegate and Ron Paul’s strategy was 100% legal. But the votes were never allowed to take place. On top of that the Republican party urged people to not vote for delegates supporting Ron Paul. There was tremendous bias against us Ron Paul supporters.

        • ghendric

What they did to Ron Paul should have been completely illegal.. that pissed me off to no end..

    • Ryan DeBock

BTW again I was at the convention. there were very few delegates there supporting Santorum and none supporting Gingrich that I saw. Most were Ron Paul supporters. Just remember that because Mitt Romney won the most caucus’s it doesn’t mean that those delegates going to the convention were going to vote for him. When you hear people say Ron Paul had the most delegates it is because of all the delegates that went to the convention that weren’t obligated to vote for their states caucus winner, most were Ron Paul supporters who were legally going to vote for Ron Paul at the convention. Which should have given him the nomination pretty handedly to Ron Paul but instead they didn’t let us vote and gave the nomination to Mitt Romney. While everyone else campaigned for votes at the caucus’s Ron Paul went around with his team finding people to go down to Tampa as delegates and vote for him. A brilliant strategy and he should have won. That is how Romney stole the nomination from him.

    • creamola

Reconciling a common defense idea of government with Ron Paul’s foreign policy stance is actually very easy for anyone who is not a drooling imbecile that regurgitates what the media feeds them:

      Dr. Ron Paul’s views
      1. Non-Interventionism = trade with all, ally with none.
      2. Strong defense = We protect our country, anyone messes with us we kick their F’ing arse decisively then get the hell home.

You will probably not understand the difference between defense spending and military spending but the smart kids in the room will:
Cut the military spending (imperial bases around the world and toys necessary to support them), bolster defense spending. We could still be spending way more than the “threats” to the country and it would be focused on actual defense instead of military misadventures around the world.

Anyways, I am a conservative in the true sense of the word, the root of which is CONSERVE. Since I also believe in following the law of our land, it is really very easy to be consistent. I am against drugs but what someone does with their body is none of my business as long as their drug use does not violate my rights and/or damage my private property.

Once you learn the difference between Isolationism and Non-Interventionism, you will be on the road to the “unstupid.”

      • Ryan DeBock

The government spends 3 trillion dollars a year on maintaining just the military bases outside of the U.S. Imagine having that money to put into the economy? What an impact it would make.

    • Bodinky100

I didn’t know psychiatric hospitals let their patients use the internet, learn something new every day!

      • Flo Thompson

Seems they allow the brain dead comment on here.

    • Ryan DeBock

BTW if Ron Paul hates our military why would most of our enlisted soldiers want him in office? You’re stupid and naïve if you think that. Read the book “Revolution, a manifesto” by Ron Paul and educate yourself on his views before you make crack comments. Ron Paul is not an isolationist. The government is supposed to look out for our defense. You just said that. So tell me how giving billions of dollars in money, food, and weapons to Israel each year benefits us? If that is providing for the common defense than you are just like them. Where do you think the terrorists get their weapons? They buy them from countries like Israel. Those are proven facts not opinions. So ultimately you believe that us giving money and weapons to Israel so they can sell them to terrorists and use them on us is “providing for the common defense”? Tell me how is spending billions of dollars to sort out other peoples problems when we have problems we can’t pay for here “providing for common defense”. Our military gets the message. The people going and giving their lives for the good of some third world country understand this message. Consequently, the whole reason that every country hates us is because we get involved in everything. America is like the people who think they have the answers to everyone else’s problems but can’t even figure out their own. Those annoying people that no one likes. You think we would have a national security issue if we minded our own business? Of course we wouldn’t. Also you mention drug laws ignorantly as well, lets address that. Marijuana has been PROVEN to prevent many cancers, Alzheimers-dementia, glaucoma, cataracts, and NUMEROUS other things without a single side effect. It also has shown an ability to kill cancer cells and inhibits cancer growth. WIth ZERO side effects. So basically what you have here is a super vitamin that, if legalized, would create millions of jobs and tons of cash into the economy while increasing overall health and decreasing the cost of health care and prescriptions but yet you disagree because the government has been telling you since 1937 that it’s bad without having any understanding of what it does? Makes no sense. Open your mind a little bit. Read about the research that has been done. All that I just told you was known is 1996. Just imagine how many lives could have been saved; how many people living with Alzheimer’s that could have lived out their lives normally; and how much time we wasted in researching a potential medical marvel. Oh ya, and did I mention all the ingredients in Marijuana are produced naturally in the body. Most commonly in breast milk. Now tell me why doctors recommend mothers breast feed their children? Did you know that Marijuana and breast milk have a very similar makeup? Everything found in Marijuana can be found in breast milk. Yet Marijuana is “dangerous” and “illegal”. Explain that to me. I challenge you to research Marijuana through non-biased sources and tell me upon your conclusion if you feel the same way about it. I bet you won’t.

      • Ryan DeBock

Oh and also, people who smoke marijuana have LESS of a chance of getting lung cancer than those who don’t smoke anything. Proven fact. Was proven in 1996 but yet here we are still giving people meth and radiation.

        • servant1951

Maybe you should consider the delivery method. Anything burned before inhaled or digested is carcinogenic. Products from the marijuana plant has been proven superior to most cancer drugs when applied appropriately.

And what the hell do you think obuma is doing? He’s cutting the Military back to lower than before WW II. We will be sitting ducks when we are attacked either by Russia or China or a combination of both. Ron Paul was in the Military and was NOT going to do away with it. You are the one who appears to be on drugs!

    • ronbos63

you are an anti american moron!!! The election stunk of being rigged from the getgo! Ron Paul would have been the best president we ever had! The delegates were blatantly corrupted!

    • el duderino

Santorum is really hard to get out your sheets. Look it up.

  • Tripmom92

the problem with 3rd party candidates is simple…. they aren’t electable yet… they can’t win an election… I would love to see others have a chance but it seems having 3rd party candidates seems to be watering down the vote–making even easier to keep democrats/socialist in offiice. all one has to do is look at Virginia’s governor election… if a 3rd party (Sarvis) had not run, we have a really good chance at get Cucinelli in office but instead.. we are stuck with a socialist…

    • Will Vincent

Ron Paul was NOT a third party candidate!

      • Flo Thompson

Ron Paul was not even allowed on Ohio ballots and we could not write him in either. The Ohio GOP just changed the rules for 3rd party candidates to make it even harder to get on the ballot. Tell me the 2 sick parties we now have are not scared to death of loosing control.

    • mrfeelgood

3rd party candidates are not “watering down the vote”. It’s just that Low Information Voters are PREVENTING 3rd party candidates from winning.

  • rogerfgay

Just finished watching the entire 1.5 hours of this waste of time and resources film. It says absolutely nothing about Ron Paul or stealing the election. It’s an extremely boring Mitt Romney vanity film.

  • Ryan DeBock

Ron Paul ran a brilliant campaign, won the hearts of the people while Mitt and Newt were campaigning for Pharmaceutical companies and Corporate America and at the Republican National Convention right before the delegates were supposed to vote they announced Mitt Romney the winner. Ron Paul had 5 times the amount of delegates Mitt had and that’s why they wouldn’t let them vote. You see, Ron ran his campaign off of donations from the people. He wasn’t funded by the big corrupt pharmaceutical or oil companies. Yet with the donations he received by millions of hard working people, including guys like me who financially didn’t have the money to give but gave it anyway hoping for REAL change, he ran toe-toe with Goliath. That scares Washington. That scares corporate America, because guys like that can move mountains. Corporate America doesn’t want to see an end to this recession, and neither do pharmaceutical companies. During this recession more people than ever have let themselves become completely dependant on the government. Some because times are hard and they had no choice, others because it simply is easier to rely on someone else. Whatever the reason the government is now out of control. It has a nation of dependants. You think it is a coincidence Obamacare came when it did? Who do you think paid for his campaign? That’s right the pharmaceutical companies. By mandating health care, pharmaceutical companies monopolize the economy. They are getting rich, and while some of you think it’s a good thing just wait. Premiums will go up drastically next year and the next and the price of health care (seeing a doctor) and prescriptions are going to skyrocket. You ready for the kicker? It would have happened the exact same way if Mitt won the election. Wouldn’t have made a difference. If you recall the creator of Obamacare is actually none other than Mitt Romney. They are just pawns. People corporate America can control. Ron Paul can’t be controlled. He is a man for the people and he would have burned Washington to the ground (not literally). They couldn’t have that. That would have cut their salaries too much. I mean how can you expect them to pay for their own health care on a measley million a year? You want change? Real change? Pray like hell Rand Paul is our next president. And btw, Ron Paul, had he won the Republication Nomination, would have wiped the floor with Obama in the Election. That is why they couldn’t let him win the nomination. Imagine a guy who did what he did off of funding from the people. and then give him the full backing power and publicity of the republican nomination. It wouldn’t have been close.

Yep and karma is a bitch, they handed it right to the dims for being such idiots.

Politic is about money. A happy human life has nothing to do with money. Being elected is about money. If we don’t install a system with the goal of helping people being happy before they die we are just plain stupid and your voting quest is absurd, totally!

dude, your hair is as bad as your political foundation

    • Mike TheVet

Dude, you’re an obvious troll. Move on.

  • Sovereign Mary

Thanks Romney, GOP and RNC. You’re underhanded and deceiving actions really turned out to be successful – didn’t it. Because of your egregious, vile and asinine actions against the true patriot Ron Paul you succeeded in bestowing us with a scheming Progressive constitution shredder.

“Steal” is a strong word and I think mischaracterizes the situation going into the convention as well as what really happened. The Romney campaign made sure – via some pretty despicable tactics at the national and state levels – that Ron’s name would not be placed into nomination. This is true. The Romney campaign and the party establishment had a script for the convention (conventions today are little more than commercials for the presumed nominee) and having Ron’s name placed into nomination would have ruined it: it would have become a real convention. Without the dirty tricks, Ron would probably have been nominated and there would have been speeches and votes, but I think that’s as far as it would have gone. The theories of how Ron could have won the nomination seemed pretty far fetched to me.

The popular votes in the primaries were a pretty clear indication to me that the Republican Party was not ready for Ron Paul to be their nominee in 2012, let alone President. Still, I think the campaign has to be regarded as a success because it propelled the movement forward. Today we are seeing the seeds that Ron’s campaigns planted grow in many different directions, but all carry the common memes of personal liberty.

The events of the 2012 primary season provided a rude awakening for anyone who still believed that there was even one shred of integrity left in the presidential nomination process. It was made quite clear to anyone paying attention exactly who controls government and politics in this country and it ain’t the people. The state truly is the biggest threat to our liberty, peace, and prosperity.

If we want an effective choice, we must change the voting paradigm from the broken, one voter, one vote, ‘first past the post’ paradigm, to either ( and/or ( With the present system, we are all so trapped into stopping the worse evil, over the lesser evil, that there is never an opportunity to vote for what we ACTUALLY WANT! With the alternative voting systems offered, one can vote for what one actually believes in, without sacrificing the opportunity to block the greatest evil that you fear most. Voting for Hope rather than out of fear! Sounds fairly obvious to me.

  • xpiolt

The GOP are going to cheat again, guaranteed. They have actually already stated that they’d be perfectly comfortable if Hillary wins. Why? Because there is no difference between Neo-Con RINO Socialists and Democrat Socialist Communists. Go ahead and support the establishment’s choice again and then get ready for another Bush or Clinton and world war.

  • Kathy Madden

What is the point? It is long over. This is another example of republicans turning on eachother. If this had been a story about dems they would have circled the wagons, down played it and turned it into something to “prove” how great they are. Until conservatives learn how to work together we are doomed.

If you vote in the reconstructed federal system, you are part of the problem, period. Everyone is indoctrinated to believe that this system is the original de jure one intended by the Founders. If you are unaware of what the 14th Amendment has perpetrated on America, it is your duty to do so NOW!

  • Jerry Schmitz

I was a very heavy Paul supporter. When the RNC refused to even let him speak at the convention, Gary Johnson got my vote. We only have one party now, the Big Government Party, Republicans to the right of the party and Democrats to the left, but in the end they are both the same and the people have no choice.

  • Rachael L. McIntosh

When I got back from the RNC, elected to represent Rhode Island, I think I had a break down. I started writing. I had never seriously written before, but when I handed in my manuscript the publisher told me to change my name, get a life insurance policy, and break it down into a trilogy. I now think of voting (especially at the national level) like voluntarily participating in a market research study. I don’t think that it really matters. The structure of the party system is not really what I thought it was. THANKS SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK. :-/

So, to paraphrase your video, the documentary says nothing of the sort as claimed by your headline and you are essentially making this up. I supported Ron Paul, but even I have to call BS on these nonsense conspiracy theories.

Not true. Watch the “Mitt” video.

First, he’s quoting someone else. Second, the quote neither admits nor implies fraud. In context, “steal” means that Mitt had to convince Southern Evangelicals to vote for a Northern Mormon.

I agree that the GOP oligarchy rigs Republican Party nominations to serve its own interests, but the Mitt documentary in no way indicates it.

  • marecek21

Mat Larson does not even bother to explain HOW Mitt Romney stole the nomination from Paul. Are we just supposed to take his word for it? As I recall, Romney won sufficient delegates in the primary to lock up the nomination. How is it that the nomination supposedly belonged to Paul. Yes, go ahead and call me naive and brainwashed by the MSM, then kindly explain what you are talking about.
