We also should not be paying for grocery selection and delivery, which we are for food stamp users here in Iowa. It's outrageous that the people who are getting free food can't even be bothered to go to the store, take it off the shelves, and carry it home.

Competent grocery stores are very rarely found in the inner city. If they didn't own a car, they would be required to order a ride to and from the store 20miles away in the suburbs. Thats typically between $60-$70 round trip of money they dont have. It's cheaper to get it delivered from the store.

What is a 'competent' grocery store? Always an excuse for why working people should pay for nonworking people. Ride the bus.

So you are thinking that someone who is disabled or elderly without a car should lug bags of groceries on a bus (if a bus even exists that drops people off at the store)? Regardless, I do not think the government subsidizes delivery costs. I also agree with Rand on eliminating taxpayer funding for junk/unhealthy foods & drinks.

Not an American born, not a Christian, but a believer of Nature here.

Why should any Nation subsidize anyone at all ?

Most of the "problems" we have now are created by human intervention.

I was blocked on a post touting the demise of free speech and liberty for saying a video of a woman ramming ICE cars and her subsequent arrest was warranted. Irony. 🙄

I agree about not buying crappy food. However, I don’t think he understands big pharma and how Trump is actually causing increase in consumer drug prices.
