Rand Paul Torches Unauthorized Troop Deployments Abroad

When's the last time the president actually looked to Congress to authorize a war?

Throughout Joe Biden’s time in office, he’s demonstrated a dangerous pattern of forcing through his agendas without authorization. We saw this when he yanked US troops out of Afghanistan, despite being advised to do the opposite. As a result of Biden disregarding qualified officials’ advice, 13 US service members lost their lives and the Taliban regained power. 

The president also tried to force a decree that would require Americans to either accept the COVID-19 vaccine or lose their jobs. This failed, thanks to Republicans who took Biden to the Supreme Court and defeated his vaccine mandate. 

Unfortunately, this president is determined to keep ignoring checks and balances for the sake of getting what he wants. Once more, Biden did this by letting US troop deployments across the world to carry on forever, despite a lack of congressional approval. 

It has unsurprisingly backfired, GOP Sen. Rand Paul called out the ridiculous hypocrisy.
