How can you get an exception for doing gain-of-research when you’re “not doing gain-of-function research” is the question on everyone’s minds. While Fauci and Peter Daszak swore up and down that they never knew about or funded gain-of-function research, which takes a regular virus and makes it more pathogenic and deadly, they issued an exception document to the University of North Carolina (UNC), confirming they could carry out gain-of-function research without putting their grant funds received by the National Institute of Health (NIH) under Fauci’s Directorship, in jeopardy.
