Over the past several years, an increasingly insidious campaign to tackle “misinformation” has emerged in the United States. On its face, this movement is presented as a well-intentioned way of making sure that the public isn’t being misled.

As Americans are painfully aware of, anti-misinformation culture in present day is now responsible for the rise of censorship on social media. Someone who says the wrong thing about COVID vaccines, the 2020 presidential election, or other controversial issues gets instantly shadowbanned. In some cases, their accounts are deleted altogether.
