Illinois is a total circus with JB Pritzker starring as the head clown.

Dismantle the corrupt teacher's union immediately.

My clients, who are criminal defendants, cannot write in cursive and have minimal comprehension skills. Some sign their name with just printed initials....on plea paperwork.

Haha criminals teaching/training criminals. I had a person in a CNA training class, in CT. She went to the magnet school, no cursive; only block letter writing. She graduated the CNA class, could not read the very nice note her instructor wrote for her, and could only sign off in block letters.

Unfortunately, that's the Chicago & union way. Teamsters. Spreads like an infection through the whole state. The teachers hide behind the union and feel like they can say & do whatever they want, demand increases, threaten walk-outs, etc. Organized crime. Ridiculous.

Stick to reading writing and math for the first 6 grades, and moral behavior.

We laughed at Earnest T Bass and now we have schools full of them….

Because it's part of the "destroy America" agenda the left has been propagating for the last forty years.

I agree with that.. although with 1 difference...

This has been going on since the inception of this country. Those who have not parted from the ways of king george still to this day, try to implement his tyranical shit upon us. We see it in the democratic party and the rino's.

First yes teachers are under paid. Second every American that isn’t the upper management isn’t paid enough.

Third If the government is going to fund private schools (or even just a little bit) in Florida then I don’t want to pay property taxes. It’s bad enough that I don’t even have children and I’m paying taxes for other children. On the flip side I think college students should not have to pay for higher education. Equity for all students, no matter what color. Being a student that ends up with major debt doesn’t set them up to succeed in business. Now if it’s a private university (meaning the elite then they should have to pay. Example Trumps kids) stop putting Americans students that get paid minimum wage for their jobs (make it either higher paying jobs or consider college as a job) no more elite shit!

Remember the "disparate impact" doctrine? Poor test performance by black kids is prima-facie proof of racism on the part of these school districts. Prima-facie, needing no other evidence.

I’m in favor in part due to race issues, but the same tests should be given and placements should matter. My thinking is (please hear me out before killing me on here) schools that are predominantly minority students should be safer so those students don’t have to worry about anything but going to school. That’s where inequality comes in my opinion. Elite schools don’t have bad neighbors or schools that don’t have the very best resources. Don’t want children to be tempted to join gangs by having crappy schools and the worst teachers. Teachers are afraid in schools just as much as students.

I hope I have made some sense here. I do tend to stick my foot in my mouth or offend people when it’s not my intention.

One more thing it’s the students job going to school and should be treated as such. You get paid when you work as an adult with a job and being a good student is a job. I’m not talking about paying them but making good grades is rewarded in some fashion. Again I hope I’ve gotten my opinion across without a misunderstanding of what I’ve said.

This has been happening all over America for years. We need to completely dismantle the teacher's union, as well as the Department of (un)Education. America needs to teach math, English, science, and American history like it used to do before the Department of Education was created in 1979.

All those failing young people will not be able to get (and hold) a job outside Illinois. I would definitely be hesitant to hire an young adult from Illinois, especially from Chicago!
