Bernie got cheated out of the DNC's presidential nomination in 2016 and again in 2020 yet he still continues to toe the Democratic party lines even though he claims to be an independent. Sanders must have a will to lose.
I admired Sanders from the days when he was on Thom Hartmann's Friday radio show. Sanders was the first politician I ever donated to. He captured the same populist voter block as Trump but seemed a lot saner. But the Democrats sabotaged him because it was "Clinton's turn." At the time, Sanders was the most personally popular national politician. But instead of allowing him to win the nomination, the DNC shoved him into the background and selected, instead, the least popular nat'l politician. That was the beginning of the end for me. Then in 2000 they did it again. Bernie won the Nevada primary on a Saturday with 44% of the vote. By Monday morning, the DNC had gotten every other candidate to withdraw and put their support behind Biden. To see Bernie out there now shilling for the Democrats turns my stomach, along with his betrayal of Gabbard. I will never understand what caused him to join those who knee capped him twice, betraying his supporters and everything he claimed to stand for in the process. I wonder what Thom Hartmann thinks of Bernie now?
