Flat out WRONG Rand! Shame on you for again trying your hand at deceiving us! 150 years of American SUCESS with Tariffs PRIOR TO the massive failures we are all witnessing today of your beloved CHINA investments and loss of AMERICAN jobs and Manufacturing. Corruption is rampant among the RINOS! Thanks for reminding us that you stand against American manufacturing.
Tariffs are not a tax per se. It is an original Constitutional power given to The President as a foreign policy tool. Dumping into American markets is a perennial problem that undermines local, regional and State based economies in both agriculture and industry. Lincoln used it against England to encourage a nascent emerging domestic industrial sector.
Wow, what a clear and passionate understanding of the separation of powers in a republic, the egregious damage that tariffs (taxes) do to trade, and the ridiculousness of leading by emergency. I have trouble seeing what a commenter sees as Rand deceiving us. Trade produces a win/win scenario and taxes are almost always win/lose scenarios. Trade relys on agreement of all parties and ALL the other methods require some form of threat. True liberty (self ownership) thrives when there is a decentlization power. I stand for liberty and its corollary of voluntary win/win contracts. Thank you, Rand, for all your research, clear thinking, and support of all of our freedom.

One analyst pointed out that part of the tariff play is too lower government financing rates because of the 2T payment that is due in 6mod.
