His colleagues are not receptive to him. I watch the votes on cspan and everyone gives him the cold shoulder.

He is a great senator I hope he sticks with us and keeps fighting for our country.

Answer me this: Why haven’t the congress backed any of Trump’s executive orders and passed them into bills?

Why haven’t they approved all of his choices for DOJ and other positions? We need Republican Judges appointed officially and not removed by blue slip laws! The Democrats Judges block him almost every time! Very frustrating to watch since the GOP has the majority in the house and senate! GET TO WORK OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SEATS TO THE DEMOCRATS and then watch our country disintegrate right before our eyes 👀

Senator, you are right on many things but you too have thrown turds into the punchbowl.

When things are Nationally important to a President clearly elected by we the people, it would be right to state WHY you disagree then announced you will support it with your vote even AGAINST YOUR WILL stop stonewalling when you are clearly an outlier!

Sad to castigate Rand Paul, one of the very few senators with any integrity. Meanwhile Trump has severely disappointed, refusing to implement DOGE into real spending cuts, to release the Epstein papers, or to actually drain the Swamp, and is about to waste even more of our hard earned tax dollars starting another pointless war against Venezuala.

I appreciate your opinion. We have nearly complete disunity in the Senate and the GOP/conservatives are dreadfully. The Dems on the other hand are like lemmings all willing to go over the cliff in unison. In that respect I admire their ability to successfully block the disorganized and spineless GOP Senators. Why are they ALL not jumping up and down screaming blooding murder FOR confirmations, for Codifying Executive Orders? At the end of the day it isn’t only Rand Paul , it is the majority of Senators who are likely so compromised they can’t or won’t do the right thing. The key word is UNITY and we do not have it. That is my opinion.

Trump has done some very good things but as always the hand reaches out and puts the squeeze on him and controls how they want it to go. Don't get me wrong I would vote for him again he has more back bone than most have.

For me, it’s not enough to just balance the budget. We have to remake how federal government works. I suggest the following: separating spending from funding. Let elected representatives debate and propose spending all they want BUT only citizen taxpayers should be able to approve funding. If each and every budget were subjected to approval by citizen taxpayers and audited by Doge the American people would quickly get the government they want to the extent they are willing to pay for it. This would quickly restore a good deal of harmony between people of very different political persuasions. Let everyone put their own tax money where their mouth is. Let every citizen taxpayer take responsibility for how our government operates by assigning their tax dollars for or not for every proposed spending measure every year with every tax return. Let budgets shrink or swell based on performance and real time achievement of goals without graft, manipulation, fraud or waste, which would find that on annual review, with the help of Doge, citizen taxpayer choices would accomplish what politicians can’t!

The role of elected representatives then becomes one of convincing voters that what they are proposing is (or isn’t) worth their tax dollars. And the role of citizen taxpayers is to come up to speed on the issues (with the help of Doge) to be willing to fund it.

Budgets shrink or swell based on percentage of “yes, you can use my tax dollars for that.” Just imagine how much money citizen taxpayers would have allocated for condoms in Madagascar? See, harmony between liberals and conservatives would be one of the unintended consequences of this plan.

And in defense of the stupid, illiterate American taxpayer, I believe that nothing focuses the mind like the pilfering of your own hard earned money. They may not understand nuance but a common sense self-interest is likely to produce better governance than what we have now.

Balancing the budget does not allow them to loot as much.

Especially, if each US State is Lean and Clean, then "$ scamming immigrants $" won't be so desperate to get in illegally and loot.

The 6 cent plan will certainly help but won’t solve the problem unless cuts to programs like social security are cut as well

However, it’s just more hot air unless Rand and others work across the aisle to form a large enough coalition to enact his plan

Otherwise it’s just more campaign “vote for me” propaganda

The problem is that half this country is totally insane given what Democrats are pushing. I have no idea how that one gets fixed. They had better put some changes into law while they can because it’s going to be even worse than when Biden was in office if Republicans lose control. Don’t think for a moment that the borders won’t be wide open again and spending will exceed our wildest dreams. Next time there won’t be a recovery.
